Today we had Athletics for Athletics we did high jump, long jump, standing jump, discuss, shot put all before morning tea then after morning tea we had did our races in age order from youngest to oldest then we did it again for the first second and third places after that we did the chants and benghazi won for the points then we did the 4oo meters for all the yr 5, 6, 7, and 8's but because I left early I didn't get to do it Goodbye.

• Each brigade initially had three infantry battalions (numbered from 18th to 26th). The 28th (Māori) Battalion was at times attached to each of the Division's three brigades. This is my timeline of Captain James Cook that I have been working on.Here is a link of the website that we have been using for our timeline.I had fun doing my timeline on this website.It is fun because i love to edit things and love retelling a story.

🍛Technolog🍛

• Today at technology me and my fabulous buddy falakika made sweet and sour pork the utensils that we used was a ,wooden spoon,pan,measuring cup,chopping board,knife spoon,plate and now here is our special recipe:
• chop up our veggies(carrot,broccoli,zukini,onion)
• put the onion in the frying pan and get oil from the cooking teacher
• then we slice the meat into stripes
• add all the veggies (except the broccoli)
• next we added the meat and the broccoli
• after that we added the ginger,garlic with sauce
• stir together then pour a cup of water in till the sauce is moist.
• then put on table to cool while cleaning.
• last but not least we serve it on a plate then eat it.(we shared a plate)

Today we were learning about Polynesians exploring around the islands we had to make a KWL sheet and here is my KWL sheet. 

kwl is an instructional reading strategy that is used to guide students through a text. Students begin by brainstorming everything they Know about a topic. This information is recorded in the K column of a K-W-L chart.KWL is an acronym, abbreviation or slang word that is explained above where the KWL definition is given.

 Lentil Curry

This week we had technology.Today at technology me and my buddy Syraiah-lee made lentil curry in cooking class at Tamaki College. These are the utensils that we used:Wooden spoon, pan,knife,chopping board,colander,pot.

1. dice the onion
2. fry till its soft
3. add garlic+ginger+curry
4. stir for 5 mins
5. add spinach
6. add the cream,salt
7. serve it with rice 
8. clean up
9. EAT

 This week we have been learning Hauora. There are four dimensions of Hauora; Taha Tinana (Physical Wellbeing - health), Taha Hinengaro (Mental & Emotional wellbeing - self-confidence), Taha Whanau (Social Wellbeing - self-esteem) and Taha Wairua (Spiritual wellbeing - personal beliefs) There is physical, emotional/mental, social and spiritual caring.Hauora is a Māori view of health unique to New Zealand, and covers the physical, mental, social and spiritual needs that everyone has.This is my DLO that i made in a docs on my drive.

Today Ms Kelly son came to school today from his job called Attitude that is a programmes for schools to guide them to friends,identity,puberty,technology.

We learned about a lesson and part of the lesson was to break down long future goals to short future goals .

Learning about our animal that connects to our personality and making good choices in the future.

And appreciate who you are and just know that you are normal in any kind you come in.

This week i have been reading a text about a book called: Kuri.  A key idea in this text is Extinction.An example of Extinction  is  when something is no longer living which like now they are extinct.Another key idea in the text is Exploring .An example of Exploring is how the kuri and  the owner travelled Aotearoa.

  Here are 2 interesting fact that are in this text:The owner of the kuri was the first person in rotorua district.Places were named from the kuri.

My goals for 2019

This is my pathway on my hand. :My pathway is something that leads me to my goals for this year.When you think of a Pathway you would of think of a walking pathway beside the roads or street but this is a special pathway to people that really want to acheive there goals .
Here are my goals

My first goal is to be in school grounds by 8:30

I can achieve it by going sleep earlier and getting ready quicker.

My parents can help by taking my laptop off me And waking me up.

My second goal is finish my work on time

I can achieve it by going somewhere i won’t be disturbed and sit by people that can help me. 

My self can help by knowing where i should sit

My third goal is to show school values and rules .

I can achieve it by respecting people and show the values.

My Friends can help by asking if we should ask who needs help.

My fourth goal is to help out more.

I can achieve it by helping people when there stuck in work or holding

something heavy.

My Friends can help by helping them too.

My last goal is to finish my work on time.

This means focussing on my work during learning time and asking

for help when I am stuck.

Bio Poem

I learned how and what a bio poem does.A bio poem is some thing that describes about you and your personality the best part in it is how I feel.There is three things that I feel. The one that i love about my feelings is excited when having family time.

Technology

Today me and  my  buddy  Arizona  made  macaroni  and cheese it was delicious. The utensils we had to use was: wooden spoon,pan,pot,measuring bowl,whisk,deep dish cake pan,spoons,these are the utensils we used for our Kai these are the steps:

                           Doing macrons

STEP 1- We boiled our macrons with a cup of water

STEP 2-Then when soft drain with colander (put it aside)

                       

                    Making our white sauce 

STEP 1-Dice onion and then fry

STEP 2- Add 1/2 cup of flour for 5 minutes

STEP 3- Add a cup of milk and stir together

STEP 4- Combined all together then complete.

STEP 5- EAT #YUM #DELICIOUS
